Studio Portraits is an ongoing character-led portrait series exploring identity, attitude and stylised realism. Inspired by the distinctive lighting and set design of photographer Jack Bridgland, each image captures a fictional or reimagined subject in a closely cropped, front-facing composition, blurring the lines between photography and 3D visualisation.
The series began with Afrodite, an original character brought to life through expressive styling, direct gaze and controlled lighting. Future portraits, including a self-portrait and additional characters, will continue to develop this visual language, blending fashion, personality and mood in carefully constructed studio environments.
This project is both a technical study and a narrative exploration, a space to experiment with character design, material detail, and the emotional impact of simplicity.
